Tricky Love

Infidelity, relationship drama, and reconciliation are the focal points of Tricky Love, a 1990 gay porn classic from Black Forest Productions and director Dwight Antoine! Bo Reed and Wayne Darren star as a couple whose relationship is on the rocks after an infidelity. Though, unbeknownst to his partner, Wayne was fooling around with bespectacled cutie Tory Bell at work, Bo is the one in the doghouse after Wayne arrives home early with a bouquet of roses, only to catch him in bed with another man (Shawn O'Toole). Tension persists until the two decide to start seeing couples therapist Rolph Coral, who has some very stimulating hands-on techniques to revive a struggling romance. The only other complication is Rolph's partner – who is none other than Shawn O'Toole! This entertaining story about two intertangled gay partnerships has strong character work and a solid script, along with a sexy cast, plenty of chemistry, and hot, lengthy sex scenes (lots of enthusiastic kissing, rimming, oral, and fucking). Black Forest Productions was the first gay porn studio with a black studio head and director (Dwight Antoine, who co-owned the company with his partner, Al Horatio). The studio put out creative and entertaining releases which focused on depictions of Black gay men that were layered, intimate, and interesting, serving as a welcome contrast to stereotype-heavy mainstream porn. Their videos frequently featured a sense of humor and clever social commentary along with great sexual action. Clocking in at a substantial nearly two hour runtime, Tricky Love is an excellent BFP video full of hot passionate sex scenes, an enjoyable story, great performances, and a sweet script infused with humour!
