There are approximately 27 million active shoplifters in America today and retailers lose $45 billion annually to theft. In the business of retail, there are two separate but equally important parties - the Shoplyfter that tries to steal the merchandise, and the Loss Prevention officer who stands in their way. Once caught, these officers need to make sure these delinquents never steal again by any means necessary. Shoplyfter 4 features four more scenarios that show that sometimes being a security guard has its perks! Jade was apprehended and her clothes confiscated for comparison with store merchandise. Once stripped, the LP officer promised no police intervention if Jade allowed him to practice cavity searches on her! Karlee was apprehended and denied the attempted theft. She demanded video evidence proving the act of attempted theft. A strip search proved the merchandise was on her person. Kylie was combative and had to be restrained. She was known to have fled from some previous thefts. Kylie asked to have her hands unrestrained in order to persuade the LP officer to enact alternative forms of punishment. Finally, Carolina was caught attempting theft. The LP officer detained her and found out she was the owner's daughter. Carolina threatened the LP officer with being fired - but he stood his ground!
