The release of an Andrew Blake film is the closest porn comes to the premier of a blockbuster summer movie - eagerly awaited by many, and complete with fans that are ravenous and have very high expectations of a good time. Thankfully, Doll House does not disappoint, nor lower the bar set by Blake's previous releases. It's a great movie. From the mouth watering broads to the flawless production values, Blake really knows how to shoot porn. In case you're unfamiliar with Andrew Blake's thing, he shoots hypnotic, top-of-the-high-end fetish films that blur the line between softcore and hardcore, as well as the distinction between mainstream and porn. Blake favours slow motion shots of fantastic-looking (and impossibly sexy) actresses, most often engaged in lesbian action while wearing sumptuous erotic wear, the likes of which Victoria Secret can only dream of. Each angle and image is lovingly crafted to the point that it seems totally choreographed, from sweeping angles of perfect thighs and butts to the choice of shooting some content with grainy film stock. This is a perfectionist filmmaker's vision. As much as this has a structure, the action follows a sex doll (hence the title) played by newcomer Jacqueline. The doll witnesses (or imagines) fantastic, beautiful exploits of a bevy of girls, all of them into some very extreme fetishes. The action will satisfy porn fans with a wide variety of prurient interests, from some devastating foot-fetish scenes to a cigarette-smoking segment, and even a mildly harrowing girl/girl/girl outing. featuring clothes being ripped off and some sharp-looking knives. Blake even throws in an uncharacteristically hardcore boy/girl segment starring statuesque punk-looking Rachel Rotten and a scene involving pounds of red meat that will turn a vegetarian's stomach, but will turn on almost anyone else.
